Promoting good deeds, conviviality, and the spirit of Rotary, while attracting new club members, sponsors, and benefactors — not to mention contributing to international cultural dialogue—are the true results of our high-level annual events. Each time we organize a charity gala at an ambassador’s residence, we bring Rotary’s core ideas together in one space.

Good deeds, conviviality, the popularization of the Rotary movement, attracting new club members, sponsors, and benefactors, not to mention a worthy contribution to intercultural interaction between representatives of different countries — all of this is the result of our annual events of high aesthetic and representative level. We manage to unite the ideas of Rotary in one common space every time we hold charity galas at the residences of foreign ambassadors.
What is the secret of success of the charity evenings of Rotary Club Moscow International?
The answer, perhaps, will be unexpected... It is in the ability to create an atmosphere of joy, happiness, and friendly dialogue, without stiff and pretentious speeches, but only with straightforward and clear messages — to do good together here and now.
2025 turns out to be very fruitful for such unique moments.
On February 7, for the second time, we were welcomed at the residence of the Ambassador of Brazil, Mr. Rodrigo Baena Soares, and his charming wife Luciana — a person with a sincere, kind heart and true Rotary values.
We named the evening “Faces of Brazil” and dedicated it to the story of the ethnic diversity of Brazilians and to how the culture of different peoples living in one territory multiplies and unites the values of each resident of this country.
Vivid, passionate Brazilian dances and bossa nova, Italian opera, a Japanese trio with koto, sumi-e and ikebana, lively African drums and forró — this kaleidoscope of emotions and the high artistic level of the performers won the hearts of our guests, as well as the guests of the Ambassador, among whom was the Ambassador of Egypt.
Right at the Brazilian evening, Ambassador of Egypt Mr. Nazih El Naggary invited us to use his residence for the next charity event.
On June 6, on the birthday of A.S. Pushkin, we shared with our guests the joy of being immersed in ancient Egyptian culture. Especially for this evening, the monologue performance “Sounds of Light” was created, starring a talented artist from the Fomenko Theatre Studio and ceramist Ambartsum Kabanyan.
We studied ancient manuscripts, love lyrics, and madrigals, searched for musical hints of ancient Egyptian chants, met with Egyptologists, writers, directors, and artists…
The result delighted us, the audience, and the artists themselves.
Live music (after brief but very emotional rehearsals) was presented by internationally renowned musicians with their own educational projects, the script was co-created by Vladimir Gabbe, founder of the S. Parajanov Theatre, while stage solutions, choreography, costumes, and the development of the action were the result of our joint creative project with the artist and his colleague — writer Elena Kasatkina.
As a result of such a partnership, we managed to create a production whose main message was an appeal to the audience to remember eternal values — love, creativity, and the ability to rejoice in every second of life given to you.
A special pleasure for us was the personal gratitude of the Ambassador of Egypt, who expressed his appreciation for the popularization of Egyptian culture among the Russian business elite.
The results of these two events made us proud:
- Three custom-made wheelchairs were purchased for our beneficiaries with brittle bone disease (RestartU project).
- The Ambassador of Brazil and his wife invited three “crystal” girls with their mothers and Professor Natalia Belova to their residence for tea with sweets. For all participants, this was a very memorable and kind event.
- As a result of fundraising at the Egyptian gala, six specialized hearing aids will be purchased for our beneficiaries from Sergiev Posad, living at the boarding school for deaf-blind children.
- Our sponsor and benefactor — Alla Anastos from American Dental Care — offered to arrange a trip with a specialized bus to provide dental care for the children of the Sergiev Posad Institute for Deaf-Blind Children.
- Our benefactor — Alla Poznyak — is full of enthusiasm to hold an on-site master class in aromatherapy for the children of the Sergiev Posad Institute for Deaf-Blind Children and also to select a special resource fragrance for each of them.
Our next event — a summer jazz evening on June 20 — was dedicated to raising funds for the Little Country project for children with disabilities and unique talents.
This time, we were treated to a performance by the great jazzman, Maestro Daniil Kramer.
Only joyful and happy people are ready to open their hearts to the world and share…
We believe in creating these special moments together.
