On November 8, 2019, Rotary Club Moscow International held a charity evening in support of the RestartU project, hosted at the residence of H.E. Dr. Johannes Eigner, Ambassador of Austria to the Russian Federation. The event brought a new focus to RestartU: supporting children with disabilities through sport and inclusion.

Expanding the Mission
In 2019, RestartU partnered with the charitable foundation MoreThanAble, led by Vadim Zelensky, to support para-athletes participating in public marathons across Russia. The foundation unites athletes with and without physical limitations, creating inclusive teams and a strong sense of belonging through sport.
Fundraising with Purpose
The event gathered supporters, donors, and partners to raise funds specifically for training and custom sport wheelchairs. The goal was to prepare three young para-athletes to participate in Moscow Marathons in 2020.
Results and Gratitude
Thanks to the generosity of our guests, and support from sponsors covering food, entertainment, and auction logistics, we raised €15,000 out of the €16,500 goal — enough to complete the campaign by year-end. The funds enabled the purchase of sport-specific wheelchairs and access to professional coaching for the children involved.
