RestartU was created through the collaboration between Rotary Club Moscow International and the Center of Inborn Pathologies (CIP), led by Professor Natalia Belova. The project supports children with rare and complex congenital disorders, providing them with access to proper diagnostics, rehabilitation, and equipment that allows them to move, learn, and grow more independently.

Comprehensive Care for Complex Conditions
Children supported by RestartU often suffer from serious developmental challenges and conditions such as osteogenesis imperfecta. While the state provides basic care, most of the essential needs—like advanced diagnostics, mobility devices, and individual rehabilitation programs—are left unaddressed. RestartU steps in to bridge this gap, offering financial and organizational support to families who cannot afford the necessary care.
Lasting Impact Through Numbers
Between 2007 and 2015, over 600 children received direct support through the Center of Inborn Pathologies.
- 380 families affected by osteogenesis imperfecta received psychological, legal, and social assistance.
- More than half of first-time patients gained the ability to move independently.
- 42 children were able to start attending school with their healthy peers, giving their families hope and stability.
The Challenge Continues
Despite the achievements, the need is ongoing.
- Only 30 children can be accommodated monthly at the clinic.
- Custom medical equipment costs at least 600,000 RUB per child.
- Consultations and diagnostics can reach 25,000 EUR annually per family.
RCMI’s mission is to continue raising funds and awareness, giving more children access to mobility, education, and independence. Each fundraiser brings new life-changing opportunities—one child at a time.
